We are saved by the work of Jesus. He walked a sinless life, he died and conquered death! Death is NO more!
We are saved by HIS works, to do good works.
We did not, and cannot do anything to save our selves!
Heb 11:6 tells us our faith is what pleases God. To belive Him, trust Him, and Him alone!
Anything that displaces His top postion (authority)over each of us is not of Him. He dose not share this position, He is a jealous God. He created us, He paid our price, and if you make Him Lord(not a religion) over your life, He promises you eternal life with Him!
